Michelle started her career in 2005 on the much sought after School Leavers program at Pricewaterhouse Coopers where she qualified as a chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
In 2009 she joined AkzoNobel where she continued to build on her experience and skill set, and was promoted to Head of Commercial Finance – Retail where she was responsible for a £300m turnover sector of the AkzoNobel business.
Throughout her career Michelle has always had a passion for charity work and giving back to the community. Whilst working at Pricewaterhouse Coopers she championed an initiative to promote financial awareness for pupils in schools in deprived areas, also providing financial support to the school board of governors. At AkzoNobel, she arranged team events supporting the community including refurbishing an animal shelter and redecorating a hospital wing for patients living with Dementia in association with the Alzheimer’s Society.
Following a career break to start her family, Michelle accepted an invitation to join the St. James’s Place Partnership and launch Hartford Wealth as a non advising Principal. Along with her financial acumen, Michelle brings with her a key focus to increase the Practice’s activity in the community, supporting local charities and inspiring future generations by engaging with Hartford’s schools.
